Greetings emperors!
We’re nearing the end of the spring sale. Welcome to all you new players who’ve found your way into the Imperium Sine Fine universe. If you like Imperium Sine Fine, please also take the opportunity to check out my turn-based strategy games, Fate of an Empire and Rising Empires 2.
But what will happen now?
Something big!
Yes, I plan to do major overhauls of some game mechanics, like combat, which I feel could be improved quite a lot now that we’ve learned how to play the game and how it works. One thing, especially, that I believe needs to be fixed is the armour values (AV). Today it’s only used for calculating the combat value which has a relatively small effect on a combat. In the future AV should be at least as important as the melee value.
I also plan to add whole new layers of mechanics, for example a complete population system that keeps track of the population of each city. Fight a costly war and recruit a lot of new soldiers and you’ll see how the population in your cities decrease. Population is such a big concept that it will influence several other mechanics, one example is the workshop capacity. Do you have enough manpower to man your workshops?
This is just a few of the ideas I have planned for the next update. As I hope you understand, this will be a major update and it will take longer than usual to implement all the new mechanics.
Please note: this update will break all old save games. I know that’s not ideal, but the improvements coming to Imperium Sine Fine will be well worth it!
If you haven’t picked up any of my games yet, do it now before the sale ends!
Cheers!
