#6 – I need your help, become a beta tester!

Greetings, emperors!

The development of the big update is going well. Many of you have been following the weekly development blogs where I’ve been lifting the curtain on the new features, population, grain, stone, engineers, and the combat overhaul. There are still a few more surprises to come as well, so stay tuned for that!

The Android UI has now been updated to support all the new features, which is a big milestone. What I’m grappling with now is something every developer dreads and needs help with, balancing the game.

All these new systems come with a lot of numbers. Population growth rates, grain production across different terrains, stone costs for construction, and on top of that the existing resources like Imperial Influence which may also need revisiting now that so much else has changed. The question is simple but the answer is not: are these numbers right? Do they make the game more interesting and rewarding, or do they create frustration?

That’s something I can’t answer alone. I need players who know the game, who have opinions about how it feels, and who are willing to sit down with a beta version and tell me honestly what works and what doesn’t.

If that sounds like you, I would love your help!

Here’s how it works. The beta is distributed through the Google Play Store, so to get access I’ll need two things from you: which version of the game you have (Emperor or Wars), and your Google Play e-mail address. In return you’ll get early access to everything I’ve been building, before anyone else gets to play it.

To sign up, simply send an e-mail to ap**@*****rg.one letting me know you want to help and including the details above. Feedback can be sent to the same address, just tell me what feels good, what feels off, and what you think needs adjusting.

Every piece of feedback helps, and I’m genuinely grateful for every player willing to take the time.

Thank you for your continued support!

Cheers!
