Greetings, emperors!
Today’s the day, the Imperium Sine Fine demo is now live on Steam! You can download it right now and start building your empire.

Here’s what you’re getting. The demo lets you play as the Human faction, Imperium, on small maps, and there’s no time or turn limit, take as long as you like to explore, expand and get a feel for how the empire-building actually plays. Everything I’ve been writing about in this development blog series, population, grain, stone, engineers, the combat overhaul, Military Tradition, crime, is in there for you to experience first-hand.
A couple of things worth knowing before you dive in. The demo also includes an early look at part of the Scenario Editor, the standalone DLC I’m building alongside the main game. This preview is locked to small maps only, and doesn’t include the winter terrain that will be part of the full Scenario Editor release. Consider it a taste of what’s coming rather than the complete package.
One more important note: progress in the demo won’t carry over to the full game at launch, so treat this as your chance to experiment freely without worrying about anything being wasted.
I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, in more ways than one. If you spot any bugs or errors, please let me know so I can get them fixed. And if something feels too easy, too hard, too slow or too fast, I want to hear that too, your feedback is going to directly shape the balance updates I’m working on next. The good, the bad, and everything in between is welcome.
Send your thoughts to ap**@*****rg.one.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Cheers!
